Here's the Link

The address to our daughter & son-in-law's blog is http://www.scocar.blogspot.com. It's fun to see what their live in Logan, Utah is like. Now that I am feeling somewhat more comfortable with this tool, I need to begin working on my 10 "Things." Good night everyone out there in blogging land!

Blogging on my Mind

Now that I'm finally getting the hang of this, believe it or not, I'm really enjoying it! It probably helps that our daughter & son-in-law started a blog this past July 4th & I have gotten used to reading it as well as looking forward to their next post. I am very careful, by the way, not to comment as I am after all; a Mother-in-Law! I you have a minute and are interested please look it up. I will add the address: So I have been thinking about all of this and wondering if my middle school students @ HIA or the Hmong Academy as we say, would enjoy trying out blogging. I'll talk it over with my team as they are both middle school teachers and see what they think about it.

I am beginning to embrace the "new" technology and look forward to trying new things. Only problem is that I forget if I don't use it frequently - such is the case with "Wordle." I learned it, tried it, thought how much my students would love it, and then over Christmas break forgot how to do it! I need a refresher on that. I guess I am "playing on the computer" as the students at school so frequently beg to do.

I also think that I don't give myself as much credit as I should. I am doing so many different things and feel so much more confident about my skill level than I previously did. But that's not to mention that I still makes tons of mistakes and forget how to to things. Part of that comes from having to go to 2 such different schools this year which is by the way; the 6th time I have had to do this in 25 years. When I think back to how and what we used to teach in media class and what we currently teach, it really boggles one's mind.
